Happy 38th Birthday Chucklebutt!

Today is my sweet husband’s 38th birthday.  Alas, we are postponing all festivities until he is back from Bike Week and is feeling his old spry self.  After much conferring with various pulminologists, infectious disease specialists and soon an ENT guy, we have learned that Chuck has some seriously nasty allergies and they are making him super sick.  I’m hoping that Florida will be better than Arizona for allergies.  We used to be the go-to state if you had any sort of breathing problems — not any more.  Because of all the construction, pollution and non-indigenous plants, we now have some of the worst air for breathing issues in the nation.  Grrr!

You’ll get better baby!  And we’ll be getting our goof on before you know it.  In the meantime, here’s some vintage goof to tide you over.  😀

I purchased the above shirts at a fabulous store called The T-Shirt Deli.  They are based out of Chicago but you can order from them online.  I learned about them through Where Women Create, and I was very pleased with my purchases.   This is how they come wrapped:

Each shirt also comes with a bag of potato chips.  Can you guess what’s on the napkin?

The washing instructions!  Ingenious, no?

Happy Birthday Chucklebutt!  Money up them balls!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I hope that everyone is having a good week and is doing something fun for Valentine’s Day.  We’re gearing up for an exciting day — heading to the Mayo Clinic to check out the Valley Fever Program.  Chucklebutt has been sick for over a week and he has a really nasty respiratory infection going on.  Last Friday he had another chest x-ray and Valley Fever test.  We don’t have the results back but thought it would be best to get an appointment at the Mayo while we could.  The next available appointment is in mid-March.  Anyhoo, we’re going to be up super early — something the Gibson-Rice household is not very good at.  😀  I’ll leave everyone with a Valentine’s Day project I did a few years ago.  It’s an homage to Mama Puff — she introduced Chucklebutt and me.  Whenever she complains about him, I remind her of that fact.

Hope Cupid is good to everyone!
