I hope that everyone has had a most joyous holiday and their New Year is shining bright. I am a little overwhelmed with how far behind I am in blogging and unfortunately the photos I want to share are on a hard drive I cannot access at the moment. I have been reading some amazing art blogs in the past few weeks and have been so inspired to share some photos that the holiday pics will just have to wait.
Mom came in on December 18th and left on the 3rd. Before Christmas, I surprised her with a trip to Pasadena and tickets to see “Wicked.” If you have never seen this play, I highly recommend it. It was amazing! The singing, costumes, story — every thing was great and Mom and I can’t wait to see it again. We stayed at a precious B&B called the Bissell House. Our hostess was super cool and the decor was amazing. We shared the house with another older couple and I can’t wait to take Chuck for a visit. Check out the interior:
This was the living area. I loved the stockings and the greenery hanging above the fireplace.
Our hostess had a whole array of yummy treats available 24 hours. The night we got home from the theatre we pigged out on flourless chocolate cake, raspberry tart and some scrumptious cookies.
This was the dining room. It was absolutely gorgeous. We had delicious rasberry pikettes the first morning and a breakfast casserole the next. The china and crystal made us feel like we were princesses.
Again, I love the haning greenery.
This was my favorite Christmas tree she had. I love the way it sits on a tree stump. I also loved the little Santa elf. It’s a Mark Roberts and they have a bunch on sale through Victorian Trading Company. I may need to splurge and get one.
He is so cute!
This was another cutie. He would be perfect for Halloween decor.
I’m sad this is a dark picture but it’s of Mom and me before heading out to the theatre. We looked mighty snazzy that night.
I didn’t realize there wasn’t an elevator in the house ( I don’t know why there would be one) and we were on the third floor. Talk about great exercise. I thought Mom was going to kill me when she found out we had to hike up three flights of stairs. It was a great way to burn off the flourless chocolate cake.
I thought these two were precious. They are by the same artist that did my big pumpkin.
These guys were left over from Halloween but they added a nice touch anyway.
Once I get my hard drive back, I’ll get Christmas pics up. Happy New Year to everyone!
