Bunnies, Bugs & Remy

Last week we had quite a few visitors at the Gibson-Rice Household.  As I was busy preparing dinner, Chuck shouted for me to join him outdoors.  We had a baby bunny hanging out in the corner of our porch.  Alas, as I stepped outside, the first thing I saw was two gianormous bugs.  I mean they were HUGE — the length of your hand.  They were big and black and belly-up twitching.  It took Chuck a while to get me focused on the matter at hand — the bugs were really distracting.  Later I had him take a picture, but they were so skeezy that I didn’t want them marring my blog.

Anyway, the bunny had apparently made friends with a giant rat (not NYC-wharf-rat, but cute-Ratatouille-Remy rat.)   While he was cute, he was still a rat and sorta freaked us out.  Chuck kept yelling at me to grab the bunny, but Remy was playing defense for him.  Eventually we shooed the rat away and the bunny was defenseless against me.  Bwahahahaha!

Warning, the following are completely gratuitous bunny shots:

Wait!  It gets better. . .

I warned you they were gratuitous.

I love her ears!  Now it’s Chucklebutt’s turn!

I wonder what she’s thinking?

What’s Chuck going to do with Thumper?

Awwwww!  It’s a pocket-bunny.

A man and his bunny.

Okay, okay.  I promise, no more bunny pictures — not until next year at least.  We’ve figured out that we can nab a baby bunny once a year.  Afterwards, they tell all their friends and we have to wait until the next generation.  Giggle.

So after playing with the bunny, Chuck got the grill ready to fire up some yummy salmon.  As he opened the grill, we discovered that there was more than one Remy.

I guess we need to use our grill more often.  They were building a happy home that we had to torch.

I hope that everyone had a great weekend. Ours was spent working in the yard and lounging.  We’re really good at the lounging part.  Have a great week!

I love the bunny!!! I can’t believe you don’t use your grill more often. We used our grill almost every night in the summer. Get with it. It doesn’t heat up your house. You even have a side burner to heat something in a pot. I noticed that you are still not ironing Chuck’s shirts. Shame on you. Help the poor fella out.

So what the heck happened to the bunny? He’s just too cute. The rat, yeah he’s cute, but the bunny…come on!

You guys have got to be the cruelest landlords in history. You come over unannounced. You take video footage without proper authorization. Did the bunny or remy sign a release….I didn’t think so?! You force them out of there homes and into strange places (think pocket of Hawaiian shirt or hot sandy desert) and then torch the place. I should call HUD on you and file a formal complaint.

    Shame on you both!

    Luv ya anyway.
