Remy and Flat Tires

So as I reported a few weeks ago, Remy had taken up residence in our grill.  We kindly escorted him out but apparently he didn’t get the hint.  So last we week, we went to grill some yummy salmon, and discovered this:

Yes, Remy had moved back into the grill and had brought a crap load of stuff.  Chuck was so confused.  He couldn’t figure out how all the pods had gotten into the grill.  I told him that Remy had picked them up with his grubby little mouth and dragged them in.  The picture doesn’t really do the situation justice, but the pea pods were approximately six inches deep.  It took about an hour to empty everything and clean up the grill.  Chuck even used bleach on the grate so we wouldn’t get some funky mouse disease.  After grilling, we left the grill out in the open and put the cover back on it.  We figured that Remy might not mess with it if it was in the open.  We thought wrong.

Tonight we went to grill hamburgers and once again Remy had begun to build his nest.  This is getting a bit out of hand.  Chuck was not amused.

Mind you, this picture was taken less than a week after the one above.  Remy is very productive and doesn’t take no for an answer.  I’m just worried we’re going to accidentally bbq his children.  Incidentally, we have yet to find babies.  I’m sure they’re coming.

On a different note, we had some tire excitement yesterday.  Chucklebutt and I were headed to Sears to get some new tires when we blew one.  It was super scary.  I’m glad he was driving because it was a BLOW out and we lost control.  So, we got to the side of the road and Chuck begins to change the tire.  Alas, the spare was flat as well.  DOH!

You can see how bad the tire is.  Chuck called 911 for assistance and they were going to send someone our way.  A few minutes later, he realized that I own a small air compressor courtesy of an ex-boyfriend (hey he was good for something) and Chuck was able to pump the spare up and off we went.  Sheesh!  Always an adventure.

I wanted to leave everyone with this shot of Chuck and Daisy.  I took it with my phone so it isn’t the best quality but is too cute.

I love how she has to be touching his forehead.  Happy Hump Day!

Oh My God!! I’m sorry but that grill with the pods reallycreeps me out. It makes me want to gag. Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! Don’t show those pictures again. What if you left the grill uncovered with the top up? You really need to get rid of that mouse before it has babies. If you don’t, you are going to have a real problem.
