I hope that everyone had as relaxing a Thanksgiving as Chucklebutt and I. We slept late, didn’t put our turkey in the oven until 12pm and then engorged ourselves on stuffing, oyster casserole, sweet potatoes and green beans. YUM-EEE! Shhh, don’t tell anyone, I didn’t even get out of my jammies. 😀
I found this house at Goodwill a few months ago and thought it would make a nice centerpiece for Thanksgiving. It is supposed to light up, but alas, the circuit board is shot. Chuck has mad skills when it comes to all things electronic, but we didn’t have any extra LED lights so he couldn’t fix it. And, I wouldn’t let him go to Walmart even though they were open. (Incidentally, my Dad would roll over in his grave if he found out that stores were opened on Thanksgiving. Actually, maybe he wouldn’t since he used to joke about stores opening earlier and earlier on Black Friday. He predicted that pretty soon, stores would just stay open and the sales would begin on Thanksgiving Day. Sheesh!)
I love the woman’s red and white package! It makes me smile.
I love sitting at a pretty table. My mama taught me everything I know about setting one.
We finally finished up the left overs last night and I made turkey soup for the first time EVER on Sunday. It came out really well although I think may have finally OD’d on the bird.
Scooter is too cute!
Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
