Last Bit of Moulin

So here are the final few pictures from my Moulin trip.  My life has been super busy and there is so much I want to post, but I get a bit neurotic about posting out of order.  I know — I’m weird.  Now where was I?  Oh yeah, day 3 in Manhattan Beach.

This is Keary Lynn and she was a doll.  I think I might have been the least excited about her project, but it turned out to be my favorite.  We used old player piano rolls to create a dry erase board.  This is the example.

For the most part, mine looks exactly like that except I added Colleen’s project to the top.

Colleen Moody is the primary reason I signed up for Kim’s event — along with all the decadent luxury that Kim provides.  Colleen is an amazing doll artist and I have followed her work for quite some time.  This is my dolly that I worked on — you can see Mom’s lying in the background.  We were supposed to make a theatre, but I wanted to add my doll to Keary Lynn’s project.

Also, if you’ve ever been to my house, you know that I am fast running out of space.  I figured it would be better to combine projects.

Here are some pics of Colleen’s work.  I even splurged and purchased one of her gorgeous blue birds.

This is the little gem that I purchased.  She is so sweet and now lives on my dresser.

This was Jenny’s booth and I covet all the cupcake themed artwork.  Alas, I still needed gas money to get back home so I will have to wait until next time to get any of her pieces.

Speaking of Jenny, I forgot to post this cute picture of her with Mama Puff and her partner in crime Aaron.  BTW — Aaron was the only man at this event.  He took it all in stride and was super sweet and supportive.

And finally, Mom and I with the hostess with the most-ess — Kim!

We had such a blast — it was the Christmas and Birthday that kept on giving.  That night, we ordered room service and crashed in our hotel room.  It’s hard to believe we went from this —

to this —

so quickly.  We were pooped!

Thank you so much Mama for being such a great travel companion!  We sure do have a lot of fun together.  And of course thank you Chucklebutt for helping fiance our adventures!

On a completely different note, if you haven’t been to Chucklebutt’s blog lately, you should definitely stop by.  He’s had some exciting photography adventures all of his own.  He got a chance to shoot the 90’s Glam Metal band Steelheart and they love his work.  In fact, his photos are on the cover of their web page right now.  I am so proud of him .  Check out this brilliant shot!

Rock on everyone! 😀

  • Nicole, It was sooooooooooo great to see you again at Moulin Rouge. I hate it that we didn’t get to spend more time together!!!! I know you were with your Momma, Tina & Robin… And I was with Sandy, Lulu, Debbie… and there were tons of other friends that I feel like I hardly got to talk to. JUST NOT ENOUGH TIME! But, it was a fun event wasn’t it? Are you going to Jenns? In October? I don’t think I am going to make it to that one. Other things on the agenda & a 40th Anniversary that weekend… gotta take this in stride if you want to continue going to events & not have HUBBY pouting. Hope we stay in touch. LOVED your photos. Brought all the memories back. LOVED the photos of you & Momma that the photographer took. GREAT! HUGS!
